Munchkin Bernedoodles

Rocky Road Doodles’ Munchkin program includes Bernese Mountain Dog, Poodle, and Cavalier King Charles Spaniel ancestry. Cavalier King Charles Spaniel ancestry differentiates Munchkin Bernedoodles from typical Bernedoodles. The program name describes breed composition, not a fixed adult weight. For adult size estimates, see the sizes on this page and ask about the specific parent pairing.

What families love about Munchkin Bernedoodles

Our Munchkins deliver everything families love about Bernedoodles in a smaller, easier-to-manage package.

  • Adult size: Typically 15–25 lbs
(some pairings can produce puppies as small as 9 lbs)

  • Coat: Low-to-non-shedding, similar to our Bernedoodles

  • Temperament: Sweet, gentle, affectionate, playful — classic Bernedoodle personality

  • Structure: Rounded face, soft expression, and “teddy bear” build

  • Activity needs: About 30–40 minutes daily (walks + playtime)

  • Training: Intelligent and eager to please with positive reinforcement

They truly offer the feel of a larger Bernedoodle, just scaled down.

A Munchkin Bernedoodle is a cross between a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Bernese Mountain Dog, and Poodle. This unique combination allows us to achieve a smaller size while maintaining the beloved Bernedoodle characteristics. Munchkin Bernedoodles are one of our rarest and most carefully developed lines.
